LOA Signing and Science Class

I posted that we had received our LOA last week for both Madison and Peyton, but Kelly and I signed the paperwork this weekend.  It was a pretty exciting time, although you can’t really tell that from the somber looks on both of our faces!  Probably just too much to do on a busy weekend with lots on our minds.

I also happened to catch a portion of science class this past Friday!  I am not completely sure how this happened, but Jessie was the one that braved the protective goggles and actually performed the experiment!

Ashely just enjoyed watching from the sidelines … FAR away from any potential explosions!

As soon as we have additional news, I will make sure to post it.  Thank you again for all of your prayers.  We can feel them on a daily basis!

LOA Received!

Just a quick update to let everyone know that we received our Letter of Approval today for Madison and Peyton.  That means that the clock has now started and we should be traveling to China in the next two months or so!  Very exciting news as it means that the end is coming quickly!

We had Riley call her caregiver in China to see if she could talk to Peyton, but unfortunately she wasn’t at the orphanage and will not be there for another month!  We will have to find another way to let her know we are coming and to not be afraid!

Brittany’s Hope Grant // Leah’s Note Cards

We don’t talk much about money during our adoptions because God always provides.  If we are doing what He calls us to do, it seems like the money needed to bring these children to the United States and into our home just shows up!  And many times from very unexpected people and places.

That said, we have been approved for a grant from Brittany’s Hope that requires us to raise $1,500 and they will match it with $1,500.  As she has in the past, Leah agreed to design a new set of note cards that people could receive for a suggested tax-deductible donation of $10 plus $2.50 in shipping for eight note cards, two of each one.  Here are the new designs, but I will be honest … they look even better than this picture!

The cards are approximately 5″ tall x 4″ wide and come with matching white envelopes.

In order to manage this process, we have a short order-from that you can download here and can either mail, email, or fax in for processing:

If you want to just order cards on line from our store, either this series or the original series that Leah did last year (there are just a few left!), the link below will take you there.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me directly at cbernad@me.com.

We are always so appreciative of the way people support us and give of their time, their prayers, and their finances.  These children would not be a part of our family if it was not for the extreme generosity of our friends and family.  Thank you …
